I have never written a negative review, but I definitely cannot recommend this place. I called asked for an hour-long massage, and was told it would be $70. I got to the the massage parlor, and upon checking in, I was told that I would only be able to get a 30 minute massage for $50+$5 service fee charge for using a card. The service charge does not bother me because I understand that a lot of massage parlors in the area operate like this. However, the only reason I can reckon for the change of price was that the owner simply did not want to do an hour-long massage. There was a back and forth about the length and cost of the service I would be getting. At first I thought she wanted me to split my time between 30 minutes now and then 30 minutes a little later because she had accidentally double booked herself. That was not the case. Basically a 30-minute massage costs $50 and she was asking for a tip of $20 to make up the difference for a $70 massage. 30 minutes of work for the price of an hour of work. I was prepared to spend $80-$90 for the massage ($70 for the massage and a tip included). The biggest issue that I had with the service was that I was basically being led to pay for one thing when I asked for something else. Also, I can have grace for a lot of situations that massage therapists are put through. Tips, although I wish they weren't part of massage world, are sadly the way a lot of massage therapist earn a salary. Language barriers don't bother me either. I literally teach students who have no English proficiency, and I use Google Translate to communicate with a lot of my students' parents. I could even have had some grace for the reality that she might have been exhausted. A lot of massage locations have long hours (10, 11, and 12 hour days). A friend of mine who is a massage therapist explained how much those hours exhausted the heck out of him as his shop's owner refused to give his workers days off. But if she was tired, we could have rescheduled. According to Google, I spent a total of 39 minutes there. In those 39 minutes I walked in, conversed with the owner about the service, got undressed, had the massage, got dressed, and paid the owner.
